Gather

Where Every Room Tells a Story

At Maugersbury Manor, there’s space for every kind of moment—from lively celebrations to quiet retreats by the fire. The five reception rooms offer room to spread out or come together: plush lounges for games and conversation, a snug for curling up with a book, and the heart of the home—the light-filled garden room, where a hand-crafted oak table stretches long enough to seat every guest.

In summer, open the doors to the garden and spill out onto the lawn. In winter, light the fire and settle in. Whether you're hosting, reconnecting, or simply unwinding, every space is designed to feel warm, elegant, and effortlessly welcoming.

With over an acre of private grounds, including flowerbeds, ancient trees, and a sweep of lawn perfect for picnics or garden games, the Manor offers room not just to gather—but to breathe.

The Entrance Hall

Step through the heavy oak doors and into the spacious entrance hall—a place that sets the tone for the manor beyond. At one end, a long wooden bench offers a moment to pause and unlace your boots. A beautifully stacked wood store lines the wall, both practical and quietly sculptural. A large mirror catches the changing light, reflecting the textures of stone, timber, and time. It’s a space that feels both grand and grounding—a first welcome, and an invitation to slow down.

The Garden Room

A sun-filled space with vaulted ceilings and views across the garden. At its centre, a hand-crafted solid oak table comfortably seats twelve—perfect for long suppers, celebrations, or lazy breakfasts that stretch into the afternoon. French doors open directly onto the lawn, making it as inviting in summer as it is cozy in winter.

The Kitchen

Spacious, inviting, and fully equipped, the kitchen is a place to linger as much as cook. A large breakfast bar offers a casual space to gather with a coffee or glass of wine, while thoughtful details—from artisan ceramics to the welcome hamper—make it feel like home. Whether you're preparing a feast or grazing your way through the day, everything you need is here.

The Living Room

Soft, sink-in sofas. A wood-burning stove. Quiet corners and warm lighting. This is the room for deep conversations, shared stories, or simply putting your feet up after a long countryside walk.

The Snugs & Side Passages

Tucked away beside the living room is a quiet snug—perfect for disappearing with a book, sipping something warm, or simply pausing for a moment of stillness. Or find the cosy bench nestled in the hallway, a favourite perch for peaceful reflection. These smaller spaces invite retreat and restoration, echoing the manor’s medieval roots with quiet character and enduring calm.

The TV and Games Lounge - Living Room 2

Equipped with a Smart TV and a curated selection of board games, this relaxed living space is ideal for movie nights, friendly competition, or unwinding together after dinner.

The Upper Salon - Living Room 3

Tucked away on the top floor, this airy reception room offers a peaceful space for reading, writing, or simply enjoying the stillness. Its minimalist styling and curated artwork create a gallery-like feel, while original beams and views over the grounds root it in the home’s history.

Staircases

Two grand wooden staircases rise through the heart of the manor—one to the left, one to the right—each worn smooth by centuries of footsteps. The wood is rich and dark, its grain telling quiet stories of time and craftsmanship. Above, elegant pendant lights cascade down the full height of the house, catching the stairwell in a soft, golden glow. Climbing the stairs feels like entering another rhythm—slower, more contemplative—as the manor gently reveals itself, floor by floor.
